🚀 Beginner Starter Guide: First Steps

Welcome to Nova Horizon! You begin your journey as the commander of an autonomous space station in a distant sector of the galaxy.

🛰️ 1. Your Station & Initial Operations

When you first join the game, you assume control of the base core:

  • Command Center (Core): The heart of your station. Upgrading the core unlocks higher-tier modules, ship blueprints, and advanced technologies.
  • Power Grid (Solar Panels & Reactors): Every module consumes energy. Ensure your power production always exceeds consumption, otherwise mining and manufacturing will grind to a halt.
  • Resource Storage: Storage capacity is limited by warehouse levels. Upgrade warehouses frequently to prevent production overflows.

For a smooth start, follow this progression:

  1. Construct Basic Mines (Metal Ore & Silicon) — the foundation for all subsequent structures.
  2. Upgrade Power Generators — secure a stable energy surplus.
  3. Build the Shipyard (Drone Factory) — manufacture your first scout and light combat units.
  4. Deploy Radar (Sensor Array) — clears fog of war around your base and reveals threats and resource nodes.

🛡️ 3. Beginner Shield Protection

Every new player starts under the protection of a Beginner Shield:

  • While the shield is active, hostile commanders cannot attack your base or plunder resources.
  • Warning: Launching an attack on another player's base immediately deactivates your beginner shield!
  • Use this protected window to grow your economy and assemble your fleet.

🧭 4. Galaxy Map & Sectors

The galaxy is divided into coordinate sectors:

  • Inside your sector, you will discover rich asteroid belts, pirate outposts, and other player stations.
  • In the center of the galactic map lies the Supermassive Black Hole, where server-wide World Boss raids take place.
